RRC is blessed to have VOM representatives, Tim and Darcie Gill, share with us on Wednesday evening, April 2, concerning the Persecuted Church. We encourage everyone to mark their calendars and attend. Mission representative, Darcie Gill, has been “serving our persecuted family with hope” through her work at VOM for over 9 years. She has traveled extensively, sometimes with her husband Tim, throughout the eastern region of the US sharing the challenging yet encouraging message of the persecuted church. Darcie has traveled to Sudan, China, Vietnam, Pakistan, Indonesia, Cuba, Myanmar, Laos, Kashmir, India, Korea and Columbia, to bring help, encouragement and assistance to our family living there. She tenderly yet powerfully shares the challenging and inspiring stories and testimonies of our family in these nations. Through God’s word, she shares what this should mean to us. Although we refer to these believers as the suffering or persecuted church, Darcie communicates the rest of the story. God is at work for His eternal purposes in the lives of our brothers and sister in these most difficult situations.
Birds and Bees Under the Trees Campout
The second annual Birds and Bees Campout will be held at Ocean Pond on Friday and Saturday, April 4 and 5, for Middle – High School young men. Sexual Purity will be the teaching theme of this campout. Please contact the church office to sign up.
Revival Services scheduled for March 16-19
Evangelist Randy Lamb will minister, encourage and uplift members and guests of Raiford Road Church during our first revival of 2008. Sunday services are at 8:15am, 11am and 6:30pm. Monday through Wednesday service times begin at 7pm. Please come to this exciting time of worship – and don’t forget to invite your friends!
Easter Egg Hunt
On Saturday, March 22, the Children’s and Preschool Departments will host our annual Easter egg hunt. Beginning at 2pm, we will have a storytime, hunt for eggs and enjoy games and desserts. If your child(ren) plan to attend, please bring 6 colored eggs per child and one dessert per family (cookies, brownies, cupcakes).
